When you choose a Bespoke Composite Doors you’re getting more than just an ordinary front door. You’re choosing a durable, energy efficient and secure home upgrade with many design options to suit any property.
Resistant to forced entries, cracking from harsh weather and fading due to sunlight, composite doors are the ideal front door choice for any property.
Durability
Unlike cheap, poorly-made doors that break down and develop minor cracks within a few years, our composite doors are made to last. That means you can save money in the long term and avoid having to pay out for costly replacements.
Composite doors are also extremely tough and robust, making them difficult for crafty home intruders to break down or force through. They can be fitted with a 5-point locking system and anti-snap, bump, pick and drill cylinder to make your home a fortress that even the most experienced burglars will struggle to get past.
The synthetic material composite doors are made from makes them practically invulnerable to damage. Generally, your door will not show any signs of wear and tear or become affected by the weather, except for extreme heat that could cause it to melt. This element of durability is one of the most appealing factors of composite doors. It takes the stress out of having to spend time and effort regularly maintaining your door.
Security
The modern composite door is a stylish and robust upgrade for your home, offering superior strength, security and energy efficiency. It combines the best features of various traditional and uPVC styles with a host of bespoke design options to suit your personal taste and property style.
This means that you can create a unique look for your home whilst enjoying peace of mind that your new front door will be accredited to meet the latest industry standards for safety and security. This includes meeting Secured by Design police approved multi point locking systems, as well as being draught and weather proof.
Unlike many other composite doors on the market today, Rockdoor’s original designs were based around security, with customers’ safety being their number one priority. This has made their doors more durable and resilient against forced entry attempts, with a range of innovative features including S-Glaze technology which makes the glazing part of the door itself meaning it cannot be prised out and used to gain access.
Energy efficiency
Composite doors are insulating, which makes them an ideal option for any homeowner who wants to save money on their energy bills. They keep heat in during winter and out in summer, reducing the need to use your central heating or air conditioning.
The uPVC and timber construction of composite doors also provides excellent soundproofing, reducing the noise from the road or other homes around you. This helps to make your home a calm and peaceful place to live, and can even improve your mental health.
With a range of colours, styles and glazing options available, you can create a bespoke front door that is perfect for your home. These doors are incredibly personal and can add character to any property. There’s no need to worry about them warping or cracking, and they can be easily wiped down with a damp cloth to keep them looking as good as new. You can even choose your own handle and knocker to further enhance the look of your doors.
Maintenance
A little upkeep will help your composite doors stay looking their best for longer. It’s a lot easier to maintain them than you might think too.
A bucket of warm soapy water and a sponge or soft cloth are all you need to get them sparkling clean. Avoid scouring pads, chemical cleaners, bleach, solvents and steam or high-pressure cleaners as these can cause long-lasting damage.
Once they are clean, dry them with a cloth or sponge and then apply a light coating of lubricant to all the components that move when you open or close your composite door. These include the hinges, handles, spy holes and knockers. This should be done at least every six months to help keep them in tip-top condition and functioning smoothly. It will also prevent the build-up of grime or stiffness. Using a Teflon-based lubricant is ideal. This can be bought in many hardware stores.
