The Selma
It seems to be an annual tradition for historical movies competing in Oscar races to get taken to task over their depiction of real-life figures and events. The DVD features “Road to Selma” (13:16), a featurette with talking heads and plenty of B-roll that sheds light on the making of this film. “National Voting Rights Museum” (7:50) focuses on the foot soldiers who marched with Martin Luther King, Jr. — and the ones that still fight for civil rights today. There’s also a “Selma Student Tickets” and a “Donor Appreciation” spot.
The Sophie
Sophie, named after Helene’s daughter and her late partner, was intended to engage all of baby’s senses: a cute face, contrasting dots, a satisfying squeak, a yummy smell and soft touch.
